At first thought, a carpet may seem like a pretty trivial item to long for in a classroom. However, when you are working with kindergartners, it is essential! "Carpet Time" is where every single lesson begins. The carpet that has been left in my room is so old and raggedy that you can hardly make out the alphabet on it. With the rug taking up a majority of the room, this makes for a very dull learning environment. By donating to this project you won't simply be providing a new classroom carpet; you will be contributing to a bright, positive learning environment where students feel safe and comfortable to learn.
