As we begin our school year remotely, I worry about the challenges many of my students face trying to focus on learning at home. A majority of my students do not have their own room and space to allow them to fully engage in learning when they aren't in the classroom. I want to make sure virtual learning is fun and exciting just as if we were in the classroom. The items I have chosen will help my students to have tactile materials to use at home for math and reading. The dominoes and dice help the students learn number sense and fluency. I have chosen the reading books to send home so each child will have a few books to read when we are in small groups. The mobile white board will help to show examples and still create anchor charts with the students as if we were in the classroom. We will have a great year virtually and in the classroom!
