By donating to my project, you will assist in creating the perfect learning environment for 28-30 very diverse learners. The stools will be used at a tall table and my Guided Reading table to allow the students more choices for seating. The back rest pillows will be used on/near my carpet for students who do not have the core strength to hold themselves up while sitting on the carpet, allowing for more comfort and focus. The 2 chairs will be used in my library so students can collaborate about books/projects in comfort. Now students are having to do this on the floor in the library or on hard plastic chairs. When the students are not comfortable, it breaks their focus and decreases their engagement in the classroom! It's very important that all students needs be met in the classroom so that learning can take place. Flexible seating has been proven again and again to enhance the learning environment, creating more room to take risks and enjoy learning. Flexible seating empowers students choice and allows them to take control of their learning. We want to create a love for learning more so than having our students memorizing math facts. To build successful adults, we must instill a love for learning at an early age. Kindergarten is the perfect place to fall in love with learning!
