It will be so great to have my students sitting all together on a nice durable carpet especially on cold days. We can use our dry erase lapboards as we work together. I will finally have a bulletin board large enough to hold a word wall where we can post our high-frequency words. Teachers spend so much of their own money buying supplies for their classes. These big ticket items are things that we cannot usually afford to purchase. I cannot wait to see the look on my students' faces when they see what has been purchased for us by someone we do not even know. So many of our students still have houses that have not been renovated since the destruction of Hurricane Harvey. It will be so wonderful to have our classroom be their place of comfort.
