Our library is the "go-to" spot in our classroom. It is in our library where students engage in their interests, extend their imagination, and fulfill their love for reading. The books I am requesting for my students will help to continue to build independent readers in the classroom. The leveled books will be a new addition to our classroom library, providing students with choice on what to read and to further enjoy independent reading time. During our Daily 5 time, the students will have the opportunity to check out the fiction and non-fiction books. When reading, they will be working on their fluency and comprehension, strengthening their skills as independent readers. With these leveled readers, my students will be able to explore new fiction and non-fiction books at their independent reading levels. In doing so, the books will allow them to practice reading skills on their own that they are learning about during our instructional school day. Your donation and support is not just going to these leveled readers, but to students who have a passion for reading and are eager to build their skills and independence. Thank you so much for your consideration. We can't wait to strengthen our reading skills with our new leveled books!
