Most of these students do not have access to a computer outside of school. Providing these computers will help them learn computer science skills important to their academic and professional careers. Computers will give students access to tools for researching/writing papers, applying for internships and exploring the world of knowledge that would otherwise not be available to them. They will also learn how the internet works, how a computer program works along with fundamental to advanced programming concepts in class. These skills along with good digital citizenship are an increasingly vital skill in higher education and the working world. These resources will help ensure our students have access to the knowledge and skills which will set them up for a successful future.
