The supplies I have requested will allow my students to experience projects during our summer school enrichment program. Many of my students are not exposed to learning experiences outside of the classroom. The program we are running this summer will expose my students to a variety of new projects. This project will allow my students to express themselves using art. By creating these projects, such a replica of a stain glassed window, which is what these supplies are being used for, my students will be able to make a connection between art and history. Students will also create a tile that represents themselves through color. My hope with this project is to provide students with a new and engaging learning experience. The goal of the program is to encourage my students to see learning as an opportunity to better themselves. Often my students see school as a boring place they are forced to go. The summer enrichment program will provide students a chance to see school as a fun, welcoming place to go with caring adults.
