My classroom of students is one of the most diverse classrooms I have ever had: Buddhist, Mexican, African,Nepalese, Latvian, Gifted, Special Needs, at-risk, aspiring chess masters, rappers, authors, doctors and even a distance relative from one of the greatest children's authors of all time! These diverse cultures, religions and backgrounds make our classroom a virtual "Jiffy Pop" of so many wonderful moments. My children are bright, dedicated, inspiring and inventive - they seek new educational experiences and love to perform, give oral presentations and talk about the subjects they are learning about in class or through their own reading. They are any teacher's "Dream Class" and I am so fortunate to be their teacher.
