My students live approximately 10 miles from the nearest library. The school library has no science based books for this grade level. Most of my students have little knowledge of environmental issues currently taking place today. These books,such as Conservation and Recycling, address some of the environmental issues that have taken place in the past. The books also introduce my students to various ideas and processes that help make our world a better place including having diversity in STEM jobs. These books help students become more familiar with how science relates to the real world. Students will gain a better understanding of science careers.

About my class
