My students are self-contained special education students in a rural middle school serving 6th-8th grades. They have varying disabilities and are not able to fully function in the regular classroom. They are like other middle school students in many respects but just need additional support to be successful. They learn at a slower pace than their peers and benefit from life skills opportunities in the classroom and throughout the school setting.
