We need to begin STEM education early with our children. This is the time to reach them while they are young enough to make sense of the world around them by touching, tasting, building, dismantling, creating, discovering, and exploring. Too many of our children don't like Science and Math because their parents weren't good in those subjects or the children are bored and unmotivated. This community needs more students to graduate and major in the STEM areas in college especially our girls. If the US is to maintain its economic power, then we will need a STEM-educated workforce that can meet the demands of business in an increasingly complex and technology-driven economy. Therefore I am requesting hands-on STEM projects/activities like a bridge building kit and rocket balloon kits.
