Hello! I am Alexandra Doolin. I teach at an elementary school in the heart of central Kentucky. We live in a rural area where 100% of students receive free breakfast and lunch each day. Many of our students live in very low income households and rely on meals at school and programs such as our backpack program to get food, clothing, school supplies, hygiene items, and other basic supplies. After ensuring that each of my students' basic needs are being met, I strive to give them an amazing learning experience in the classroom. I am a new teacher, starting my third year, and one thing I have learned is that my students need exciting experiences in the classroom each day to make learning FUN! As with many schools, resources are limited in our building, so I'm asking for help to get the materials and technology my students need for an extraordinary learning experience!
