My students all come from low income homes. The majority of the time, they do not have the supplies to complete assigned projects and assignments. The goal is for my students to be able to enter my classroom and have everything they need to be successful. I have bought two bean bags out of pocket, but could really use another one in my classroom. The bean bags are for reading time. My students are not fans of reading, so I'm finding things to encourage them to read. The goal for this class is to send 8th graders to high school and beyond prepared for the real world.
