Keeping students engaged is my top priority. When students are engaged, they are learning. By mixing up instruction, I like to call students to the carpet where we can have more face-to-face instruction. I've selected a rug to add to my classroom so that students can have an inviting space to join me at the front of the classroom. I've also selected stools for my students to sit on when they join me at my table. Chairs take up too much space, so the stools will allow me to add more students to my groups for specific small groups. Many of my students don't have books at home; help me provide them with access to books both at school and at home. My school has books, but they must be returned in good condition. I have selected durable book bags that will ensure my students have the ability to work on their reading skills at home as well!
