This cabinet will allow students to independently access an assortment of nontraditional interventions and tools to meet their sensory and emotional needs. This will allow students to increase independence and build the skills necessary to meet their social/emotional needs. These tools will allow students to take a sensory break which will help to regulate themselves and continue on with their school day. This will help decrease discipline problems and increase on task behavior in class, leading to increased academic achievement. Having a cabinet to organize the sensory integration tools will also allow the special education team to continue to utilize innovative strategies with students.

About my class
