Students need the ability to explore and create to extend their minds in many directions. We often use the skill and drill or lecture stance of teaching in the classrooms. Does this really make students think and understand? How can we put on different lenses to see what is through a child's eye? STEAM or STEM is important to the well being of our future world! Our world thrives on science, technology, engineering, art, and math. How do we get our children or students to embrace this idea? We have to teach them at an early age to love and appreciate these concepts. Giving students opportunity to engage in using their minds to build and create can open up avenues to express themselves in a positive way for the future with their jobs as well as how we treat our environments.
