I strive to create a calm and inviting atmosphere for my fifth grade students. Many of my students have trouble relaxing and focusing their attention on the tasks at hand. Every child deserves to have a calming and safe learning environment. Florescent lighting is hard on the eyes and can affect one's health over time. By adding the 12 florescent light filters to my classroom, the lighting will be softer and create a calmer environment. The foot bands will serve as an outlet for students to release their "wiggles" while working and learning. by getting all of this movement out, my students will therefore be more productive and susceptible to learning and growing.
