Throughout the four years of my teaching career, I have observed that traditional classroom desks and chairs are not suited to meet the needs of all students. I have a wide variety of students in my classroom, many of whom have difficulty paying attention in class and need to move around to stay focused. Flexible seating allows students to do just this. When students are given the option of what they would like to sit on in the classroom, they are more actively engaged and focused on their work. The products that I have selected will give students a choice of what they would like to sit on while working in the classroom. Yoga balls and chairs allow students who need more movement within the classroom to bounce and wiggle. The wobble stools are great for students who would like to sit at their desks but need the freedom to rock their chairs back and forth. Balance disks and stools give students additional options for how to sit in a way that is best suited to their learning styles.
