A lot of students require different types of seating to help them achieve their goals in the classroom. No two students are the same and no two seating systems should be the same. Some of my students require specific sensory input to allow them to relax and focus in order to begin their work. The first step in learning is readiness. How can a student be ready to learn if they are focused on staying upright? These items will allow relaxation which will lead to focus and success in the classroom! My project will allow for students to explore their needs when it comes to sitting. These items will help them engage their core and increase their abilities to maintain a sitting position during classroom instruction. These cushions are versatile and can be used on chairs or on the floor. The pod can be used to relax and provide deep pressure for students that respond well to that type of input so that they can focus on their school work. It is my goal to provide the seating that will help these children succeed. Engage their cores to engage their minds!
