I teach 3rd grade intellectually gifted students in a one-day-a-week pull-out program. My students are full of energy and always eager to learn, especially when it comes to hands-on, engaging projects! I love watching their minds being opened to new ideas! Being a Title One school, they come from diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds, with a high poverty rate. What really makes this special to me, is I attended the same school where I'm now teaching, plus I've taught long enough, that I'm now teaching former students' children! Talk about coming full circle!

About my class
