My students are active learners, compassionate peers, and continually-developing individuals. As a new school counselor, I am excited to jump in head first and facilitate social emotional learning for 300 students in the Kansas City Metro area. 3rd-5th graders are in a transformative time of their lives as they learn how to navigate changing bodies, minds, and abilities. We can all remember back to times when we experienced feelings of anxiety, peer rejection, uncertainty, and establishing independence. During such a developmental time, social, emotional, and career development support is vital in providing students the skills they need to be successful for the rest of their lives.

About my class
