The donations for this project will allow my students to have a place to store their Chromebooks and allow them to be charged and ready to go, just like my students! We currently do not have a cart to store and charge our technology devices in our classroom. We have devices all over the room, and sometimes don't have enough access to outlets to actually charge our devices. This funding will help us organize our classroom and allow us to learn how to properly take care of our much appreciated classroom technology. Students at Harrison School need to be engaged and moving forward as digital learners. They are able to do this with having Chromebooks in the classroom. Our teachers have also embraced change and have learned how to teach digital literacies to their students and incorporate technology into their curriculum. All we need is one more piece of the puzzle for our technology: A charging cart. This will help us focus our attention on our learning and not taking time to worry about what devices are charged or where they are located. With a charging cart, each device would have its own home and students could return their devices to the cart to rest and charge properly. It will also help us be responsible with our devices and help us learn to take care of our technology.
