I teach an amazing group of students at a small Title One school in Louisiana. We are working on making our classroom even more amazing than it is one step at a time. Reading can take you anywhere you want to go and help you visualize so many different things! I know I love books and I hope to make my students feel the same. Our current classroom library has plenty of books but needs a way to display them and also some seating to help make our center more cozy and comfortable for them. I think a classroom bookshelf would be a great way for them to see the books that we are reading at the time. It will be so much better than just keeping books in our desk or a basket and having to rummage through to find what we want to read. To keep this area cozy it would really help to have the couch, two chairs, and table to sit in. It will also give them a place they can doing reading conferences/meetings with each other about the stories we are reading. This will encourage them to spend more time in this area of our room. Thanks so much to all of you for taking the time to read about our classroom and we hope you are able to help make a difference in our classroom!
