Have you ever spent too long sitting in an office chair and felt a pain in your back? Well, you’re not alone. 74% of workers experience pain at their desk a few times or more per week. The school-supplies chairs that fill our schools are far worse than any office chair. Esports members have to spend several hours every day training rigorously at the computer in school chairs. Typical classroom chairs cause student necks to bend forward, putting extreme strain on their lower backs since the plastic chairs provide zero support, causing growth spurts to become inhibited and spines to potentially end up bent and deformed. This is further worsened because 83% of school children sit at chair-desk combinations that are not suitable for their body height. These chairs can cause lack of blood circulation, rounding of the back, tense shoulder, neck and back muscles, constricted digestive organs, spinal cord pressure, and most importantly, Muscular-Skeletal Disorders. With how much my students are practicing, these effects can become extremely prevalent and a very real problem. These chairs will prevent possible health issues that would otherwise follow them throughout life, and I hope you’ll consider donating to help encourage my esports students to stay dedicated to the sport they love!
