At the intersection of math and science rests a course that so beautifully describes the world around us, its very name was derived from the Greek word for "nature." In Physics and AP Physics 1, I teach students that the skills they develop in my class can be applied to every single other course in their lives. Their ability to problem-solve, draw connections, and mathematically describe the natural environment are all skills that will continue to reap rewards. I make physics approachable by ensuring students are able to experience every concept we cover in class physically, not just theoretically. I pull in outside examples and meaningful "minilabs" to push the students' abilities to question and reason through problems. In my class, I have seen students that lacked confidence in their math and science abilities blossom into young men and women that hope to solve the worlds problems as doctors and engineers.
