"All scholars will be equipped with the knowledge, character, and leadership skills to graduate from college and serve the common good." This is my school's mission and what my twenty-six, brave, strong, smart, silly, determined kindergarten and first-grade kiddos arrive at school ready and willing to tackle every single day. However, this is not without its challenges. Nearly all scholars are from immigrant families whose first language is not English. Ninety-eight percent of them qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Despite these incredible challenges, they show up every day eager to learn, work and play hard. We would love some extra support in achieving our mission!
