Students NEED Technology in the Classroom. If used correctly, mobile devices and the applications they support, will help prepare students for their future careers. Integrating technology into the classroom is an effective way to connect with students of all learning styles. It gives students the opportunity to enhance the interaction with their classmates and instructors by encouraging collaboration. When mobile technology is readily available and performing correctly in the classroom, students are able to access the most up-to-date information quicker and easier than ever before. The traditional passive learning model is broken. With technology in the classroom the teacher becomes the encourager, adviser, and coach. Our students need Samsung Tab's to increase learning through differentiated learning and/or reaching different learning styles by using apps approved for them to practice skills that will be tested throughout the year an useful to become productive citizens. The Chromebook will be primarily used by the teacher so that she may develop lessons that are more interesting and have more rigor to greatly improve student learning. Also requested were the protectors for the Samsung Tabs so that it will increase their durability as they will be handled by first and second graders.
