What better way to spark students to think outside their world view, than to explore the true life story of a child who escaped the horrors of civil war and water scarcity in South Sudan to become a force for change in his home country? Salva Dut's story is one that will educate my science students about water equity issues that affect millions of people across the world and inspire them to give back in their own ways to make our communities better for all. It is the perfect capstone to learning about the importance of access to clean water on a global level.
