Restorative Practices is all about restoring human values: empathy, respect, communication, kindness etc. We take a look at different things that impact the way we, as individuals, and society responds to forms of injustice, BUT we also discuss next steps we can take to help take those first steps towards "fixing it." Although my students come from very diverse and different backgrounds, we all have one things in common: we want to make the world a better place. In order to accomplish this very daunting task, it is crucial to learn about the different issues impacting our society! We need consistent and reliable access to technology in order to study and analyze these issues and their effects. They need Chromebooks. My students NEED consistent and reliable access to technology in order to be successful in their next academic and personal steps. Not only will it help us be aware of the issues, but it will help my students be in a position to enter into the real world with the skills to make change happen.
