My students currently are learning English as well as reading. These bins are necessary for my English learners to easily identify books at their reading level. Currently students struggle to find a book that is at their level and that they are interested in. Color coding books and bins is an easy way to boost independence and confidence in selecting literature. Students will be able to quickly choose an appropriate book and start reading. This will add to the time they are actually reading the book and not searching for one. My students have more than 50 levels of books that are available to them, but it takes precious instruction time for them to find their specific level. Since we use AR, students are tested daily on the books they read. They must meet personal goals and this system will allow them to be more successful and feel empowered.
