My students need a high-interest text that will boost their confidence and reading stamina. This is why I have chosen to study Silence of the Lambs. In class, we will use this book to learn more about literary analysis. While we read, my students will learn about plot development, character analysis, tone, literary devices, etc. Your donation will improve my classroom by helping my students become better and more engaged readers. During each session that we read, my students will learn what close reading means and how to do it, all while building their confidence level and reading stamina. Finally, we will use this text to study themes that are relevant today. As a class, my students will unpack the novel to learn more about gender and sexism, identity, psychology and psychopathy, and more.
