Many of my students are struggling readers which makes reading comprehension very difficult for them. The materials I need for my classroom would assist my students in differentiating their instruction and do station work while other students get more individualized help by working one-to-one with a teacher or paraprofessional. The Hoss headphones will allow my students to get stories read out loud to them in order for them to brush up on their comprehension skills, as well as give them the opportunity to hear fluent reading skills. I am also requesting Math Folder Game Libraries, High-Interest Intervention Reading Folders, Reading for Details High-Interest Intervention Reading Folders, and Making Inferences High-Interest Intervention Reading Folders. These comprehension skills packets will provide great station work and will keep the kids engaged in reading. Many of my students often want to give up on reading because it is such a struggle for them. With these materials, I feel my students will have fun in the process of learning.
