Some of my students are lower readers (and slower processors), so children's books will be used to work on summary/story maps - allowing my students to learn how to summarize shorter books to help them when we jump into longer novels. I have a lot of students that need "fidget chairs" as they often need to get up and move - the trideer wobble seats will help them with their focus. Students have been able to complete an essay by listening to music, having headphones will allow them to do so. I want my students to be excited about language arts! Walking into my classroom will be a place that my students want to be and not just have to be.
