My students are from a HIGH poverty school and community. Many of these students come from a low-income and often a single parent home. On the positive side, many of our parents are supportive of their child's education and know it is mean for a better life. Despite these challenges and limitations that lay on my students, they work hard and are always excited for STEM block. They know to be a problem solver will take a lot of work and are determined to setup to the challenge and succeed. Here in New Mexico we have a high demand for the STEM related fields and need to get our students ready and up to date with the knowledge and practices for these jobs.

About my class
