Each year our high school hosts an annual College Decision Day event. We celebrate all of our seniors post graduation plans. Each year we raffle off different themed gift baskets for students. In previous years, we have raffled off backpacks filled with school supplies and laundry baskets filled with cleaning supplies and dorm room supplies. This year we will continue the tradition by raffling off back backs filled with the school supplies listed below (pens, pencils, notebooks, highlighters, etc.) The snacks, chips and candy requested will be supplemented with BBQ food, including hot dogs and hamburgers. We will bring a motivational speaker to encourage students to follow their dreams and also bring in community and corporate partners to celebrate with the students. We are also going to bring in a panel of former graduates that are current college students to talk to the seniors about their experience. The students are always filled with happiness and excitement about pursuing their dreams after this event. We celebrate every decision regardless of if they are attending university, community college or trade school.
