We are a Title 1 district with little to no access to technology. We are testing them using tablets and computers but not offering them a chance to become comfortable using them! Not only that but students using tablets look at it as fun versus straight out of a book! I want my students to have every advantage possible to boost their confidence and self-worth! My district wants me to be a STEM classroom but without the tools necessary, it is almost impossible! With these tablets, students will be able to go farther and do more than they ever dreamed. I plan to use these tablets for them to take virtual field trips, use skype in the classroom and complete podcasts.
