I am requesting furniture to support the start of a flexible seating classroom including portable reclining seats, Balance Balls, and plastic stack stools. The rocking seats are for children to use during reading time and the stools will be used for small group reading. I also want to provide the Balance Balls to students with extra energy to release. The Classroom Book Organizers and Peel & Stick dry-erase dots are for organizing classroom and reading materials. I want to prepare students for the real world, so I want to create an environment that reflects life outside of the traditional classroom. I want to give children choices and have them be responsible for their learning. My project will make a difference because student-centered learning has shown to be successful. My students will be able to learn through movement and burn excess energy and increase motivation and engagement.
