The three Charcoal Rectangular Carpets- 9' x 12' from LAKESHORE LEARNING MATERIALS will be a huge benefit to the students in my classes. The students spend 75-85% of their time working in groups to help each other master mathematical concepts which are difficult for students with disabilities. Many students are highly distractable and the reduced sounds and echoes will help them with their specific learning needs. These students may have autism, ADHD or Specific Learning disabilites that make it difficutl for them to learn these math skills. The carpet in the room will definitley make active learning less distracting for all my students! I am hoping this project, although a bit expensive, gets funded.
