Having a comfortable reading nook in the classroom will help the students be more willing to sit down and read a book. Feeling comfortable in the classroom builds community and opens the students' minds to learning. With the materials in this project I am hoping to create a community of readers that will lead to being everyday inquirers. Opening a book will help my students with their fluency and comprehension, which they currently struggle with. It will allow them to learn about new cultures, places, people, and ideas. Having this reading nook will put a smile on the students' faces and get them more into reading than they already are.
