Currently, we do not have classroom computers for our students. Most of our students also lack regular access to computers at home. Since the writing process is time-intensive, having unimpeded access will enable students to sustain momentum for their revisions! Together, we will strengthen their writing, and amplify their voices. A set of Chromebooks would enable us to bridge the digital divide and provide my students with the 21st century skills that are required to transition to both college and the workplace. Students would be able to work with their writing mentors in the same Google document. The laptops will support research to determine academic majors and career paths of interest. Students will be able to draft and submit their college and internship applications. You can help support their journey to independent adulthood!
