Anchor charts are an effective, research based way of teaching students, and they are personally one of my favorite teaching methods! They also double as classroom decorations, so it's a win-win! In order to make durable, bright, and effective anchor charts, I need chart paper to stick on the board and markers that will help me write large enough for the words to be seen from across the room. I love to use anchor charts for decorations, classroom management, collaboration, and anything else I can think of to enhance my students' learning. Students enjoy them because the information is condensed into one easy to see poster.
