Studies have shown that the presence of college paraphernalia can influence how children see themselves and the options available to them. Our goal is to saturate our school with college paraphernalia. We need tie-die kits that will allow our seniors to creatively show what their next steps are. It will give them a chance to celebrate their success and show what college they have decided to attend. Everyone, from their peers and family members to their community members, will be able to see how hard our students work and how they plan to continue their education. The younger classmates will be encouraged to engage with the seniors and share what their college dreams are. We want to inspire conversations of progress. Our hope is that our students and community will see that college is an option and that with hard work it can be a reality.
