Our Art Honor Society has been reaching out to the community and spreading the art! The picture above is a parrot fish sculpture that students made for Ripley's Aquarium supporting conservation and the impact it has on ocean life. Four sculptures were made and will be on display. Last year we painted three local dumpsters with ocean life. Teaming up with Keep North Myrtle Beach Beautiful, local Code Enforcement and Lowes we cleaned, primed, and painted what otherwise looked dirty. The communities response was encouraging and students enjoyed talking with pedestrians about our goals and the artwork as they walked by. Moving forward I would like students to be able to build our school Mascot with Legos. To do this will need a lot of legos! Even if you cannot fund the donation, any Legos you may have in your home would help and we would love you to ship them to us here at North Myrtle Beach High School.
