These two iPads will create a new learning center for the students in my classroom. Due to all the different learners' academic levels, almost all of the lessons are given small group or 1 on 1 instruction. These new iPads will provide my students a new learning center. Some of my students will be able to practice their Reading and Math skills on the apps our school has purchased. During this time, I will be able to run my small group intervention with ease and peace of mind, knowing those students are still getting the intensive instruction they need through the learning apps on the iPads. Students with Autism also requires Social Skills intervention such as story based intervention- social stories to teach a specific skills. Self modeling and video modeling have also proven to be effective strategies to help teach students with Autism new skills. With the iPads, my students will be able to gain social skills by recording their own social stories and having fun through this learning process!
