The district I work for is a low income district and has recently brought back the majority of students that were previously serviced at Boces. We now service a variety of students with a range of needs, abilities, and backgrounds. With a high need class there is often times I may be missing the tools I need to best teach my students. I can have up to 12 students but this year I only have 9 which has allowed for a lot more individualized attention! They have significant academic, emotional, and social needs. They benefit from a multi-sensory environment and many of them receive O.T. , P.T. , speech, counseling and even vision. I strive to meet their needs in a loving environment.
