My students are primarily from new immigrant families living in a California inner city community. They are like any other American student with contemporary interests in our highly digital world. One big difference though is that most are bilingual and many come from homes in which Spanish is their first language. My digital photography class is an elective primarily for senior students. Many of my students, much like their generation, are quite computer savvy and crave knowledge that can expand their digital understanding in photograph and photo editing.
