Michigan College Access Network has been working on the College Signing Day initiative for the last several years. This event is designed to highlight the importance of attending college. It is modeled after the NCAA athletic signing day, but it is for all students not just athletes. This year our Decision Day Celebration will include many activities designed to highlight the importance of a college going culture at our school. There will be an ice cream social for all the seniors. We will include underclassmen students who wear college gear (this will help foster the understanding that college is something to think about long before senior year). There will also be an assembly for the seniors. This celebration will include an alumni panel to discuss their experiences in college and the work force. The seniors have also been making a movie to tell each other what their plans are for after graduation.
