Our school lacks the funds to provide functional supplies for my classroom so every year I've been shouldering the financial burden myself. This year I have been revamping my lessons to improve student engagement by planning for more group works, projects, and student whiteboard usage. My students won't know what hit them. They are going to use personal whiteboards, group whiteboards, wall whiteboards with markers every day to show their work and criticize each others' thinking. Based on my experience using these strategies in the past, I know what a big difference it can make for their learning and by providing individual markers for my students I know their learning will increase dramatically.
