Students will use the three IPads to enhance their learning of technology. The IPads will also allow them to work on alphabet recognition through apps like starfall.com. Students can work independently on the IPads or with a partner. The store and charge station I requested from Lakeshore provides students a place to access the tablets and put them away. The engineer-a-coaster activity kit can only me used with a magnetic surface, so I asked to the stand-up magnetic design center. Students will have be able to design a coaster through trial and error. Bee-Bot programmable Robot gives students experience with coding. Students can push certain buttons and them press go. When they press go students will see the bee move in the directions they told it to. Both of these materials promotes critical thinking and problem solving through play. The Science Instant Learning centers-Complete Set align with our preschool curriculum, Big Day. Preschool students learn most through play. These learning centers will give students a chance to explore concepts we are learning in class on their own, with peers, or guided by an adult. Lakeshore Liquid Discovery Tubes allow students to manipulate the tubes and watch gravity in action. They can observe how liquids separate and view water currents. The Wind Tunnel Discovery Center allows kids to see how light, medium, and heavy objects are affected by wind. All of these concepts help preschool students become more familiar with the world they live in.
