Effective equipment is key to a quality learning experience, so headphones need to be reliable, comfortable, and clear. The best thing about these headphones is that they function for more than one state standard! Imagine getting ready to listen to digital instructions with a limited time frame, only to have your headphones malfunction. You do not have time for this! If you are missing one more assignment, you lose your phone for a week! Unfortunately malfunction is a common occurrence with the headphones at our school. Multiple programs that are used require the use of digital instruction to differentiate the learning experience, and students are not able to utilize the programs to the full potential due to malfunction and discomfort of the headphones. New headphones with a built in microphone will allow students to use these programs with ease, and they will no longer have a worry that is not theirs to bear. Students will be able to check their own fluency by recording a story they have practiced and listening to it to check for mispronounced words, expression, and comprehension while submitting the recording for accountability. This project will allow all students to have access to their own headphones when working at their desk, and provide stationary headphones for individual centers.
